There are many Windows password recovery tools can be use to reset or recover Windows 7 password. Today, I will tell you my experience that how to recover Windows 7 password with Ophcrack. Now, we begin to get the lost windows 7 password back.
Tip: If Ophcrack fail to recover the password for you, you can try other software, such as Windows Password Rescuer, Windows 7 Password Recovery Tool, and Sposer Windows Password Reset.
STEP 1: Download Ophcrack Vista free live cd.
Download Ophcrack Vista free live cd. The Ophcrack Vista free live cd only can recover the password combined with number: 0~9, and with maximal length: 5. If you want to recover other character set, or more length password, you need to buy proper rainbow tables.
STEP 2: Boot computer from Ophcrack live cd.
Set your computer to boot from CD drive, insert Ophcrack live cd, and then restart computer. For more information about setting computer to boot from CD drive, please refer to How to set computer to boot from CD/DVD-ROM.
STEP 3: Recover Windows 7 password.
When Ophcrack startup, it will run automatically and find Windows 7 password for you. If the password was found, it will be display to the list. If you want to add a rainbow table, you need stop the current processing. If the user password is not in the handle character set, It will not be found.
STEP 4: Log on Windows 7 with found password.
If the password was found ,you can use it to log on windows again.
Tip: If you just want to regain access to Windows, you can use other Windows password tool to reset windows password to blank, such as Chntpw and Windows 7 password recover tool.

2. Create an USB or CD/DVD windows password recovery boot disk.
